Nine satirical classified ads, three columns, all team-specific. FOR SALE. WANTED. LOST & FOUND. HELP WANTED. ANNOUNCEMENT. NOTICE. PERSONALS. OBITUARIES. The CONTACT line is always the punchline. Always.
The Panthers won the NFC South on a tiebreaker in 2025 with an 8–9 record — their first division title since 2015. They then lost in the wild card round. The title has been acknowledged. The wild card loss has also been acknowledged. D. Canales is in Year 3. B. Young is in Year 4. The GM has publicly stated the arrow is up with Young.
Young was the No. 1 overall pick in 2023. He has shown signs of improvement in each season. He has not yet been consistent enough to confirm himself as a franchise quarterback. The GM says the arrow is up. D. Canales says he needs to become more reliable weekly. Year 4 is generally considered the year that determines whether an arrow is real or decorative.
Young has shown enough in three seasons to maintain the franchise quarterback designation. He has not shown enough to secure it permanently. D. Canales is entering Year 3 with him. The GM’s “arrow is up” statement has been repeated publicly. Year 4 is when the altitude is measured.
D. Canales has identified weekly reliability as the primary development target for Young in 2026. Young has the arm, the mobility, and the football IQ. He has not yet strung together enough consecutive reliable performances to settle the franchise quarterback question definitively.
The Carolina Panthers announce that B. Young is the franchise quarterback, D. Canales is the head coach, and the defense has shown significant improvement. The arrow is up. It has been confirmed up by the GM, D. Canales, and Young himself. Panthers Nation would like the arrow to manifest as a consistent winning record and a playoff run.
Available for historical reference: an 8–9 NFC South division title won on tiebreaker, the first division title since 2015. The Panthers defeated the Buccaneers in Week 18 to claim it. They then lost in the wild card. The entire package is being reviewed as encouraging.
The Carolina Panthers formally notify the NFC South that they are the defending division champions with a record of 8–9. The Saints have T. Shough in Year 2. The Falcons have two left-handers competing. The Buccaneers have B. Mayfield in a contract year. The Panthers won the division. This is factual. The 8–9 record is also factual.
Panthers Nation, lifelong, Charlotte and the Carolinas. Have watched three years of Young development. Have watched an 8–9 NFC South title and a wild card loss. Have D. Canales, who believes. Have the blue and black and Keep Pounding. Would like Year 4 to be the year the arrow’s direction becomes a playoff win.
Passed in January 2026, following a wild card loss, having won the NFC South on a tiebreaker with an 8–9 record. It won the division. It did not win the wild card game. It is survived by D. Canales, who calls it encouraging, and B. Young, who is entering Year 4. The arrow points upward. The foundation is 8 wins.
A full team-specific Top Ten list. Completely deadpan. Treats every item with total journalistic seriousness. The list below is a sample. Yours will be specific to your team’s particular situation, history, and ongoing triumphs and disasters.
Seven team-specific fake eBay listings, ready to go every cycle, styled exactly like the real site — photo, description, seller, and current bid. The items are always something your team has misplaced, squandered, or never possessed. Reserve has not been met, and never may be met.
One team-specific Outer Limits Enquirer front page, every cycle. Completely straight-faced. It sells itself — that’s how funny it is.
Four new proposed NFL rules, each presented with complete regulatory seriousness. The title is always “THE NFL COMPETITION COMMITTEE PROPOSES:” followed by the rule name. Three to five sentences of deadpan satire. A new batch of four rules, every seven-week cycle.
Effective immediately, any player who is visibly sad after a penalty will be allowed to challenge the call on emotional grounds. The replay official will review the player’s expression in slow motion. If certified “genuinely devastated” by a panel of three therapists stationed in the press box, the penalty is waived. The Dallas Cowboys have already filed 847 pre-season challenges.
Starting in 2026, head coaches will be required to answer one post-game question with complete honesty. The question will be selected at random by a wheel spin. Early testing was abandoned after three coaches resigned, one cried, and Bill Belichick’s honest answer was legally classified as a threat.
In an effort to make fumbles less discouraging, any fumble recovered by the opposing team will now be referred to as an “unintentional lateral.” The player who fumbled will receive a certificate of effort. The team that recovered it will receive six points. Both outcomes will be celebrated equally on the official broadcast.
All play-by-play announcers will now be graded in real time by a panel of former players. Phrases such as “he just wanted it more,” “that’s a football player right there,” and “you cannot teach that” will trigger an automatic fine of $500 per occurrence. Early projections suggest the league will be debt-free by Week 3.
A fully illustrated satirical children’s book, team-specific, written for the fan who has a child who needs to understand why Sunday afternoons are like this. The illustrations are beautiful. The subject matter is not. Both things are intentional.
